Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me...for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these" (Matthew 19:14). This means that children are not just the future of the church, but are called to share in the wonder of God's kingdom with us too. At First Christian Church, we aim to teach our children God's story and to show them God's ways.
Our Children's Sunday School classes begin downstairs, in the basement, at 9:45 am, after refreshments and fellowship in the fellowship hall at 9:30 am. Click here to find out more about our Sunday School Rotation Schedule and curriculum.
Early on in our second, traditional worship service (10:45 am), children are invited to follow our children's church leader into the fellowship hall, where they will hear and often act out a story from Bible (usually from the Gospels), get to know some new friends, and usually participate in an activity or game. Children return to the sanctuary to witness the Lord's Supper and participate in the rest of the service.
Nursery care is available for children ages 0 to 4 years. On Sunday morning, nursery hours are 8:30 am to 12:00 pm.
